From ancient Egypt to modern day Austria, Bowen McCauley Dance explores the environment’s influence on movement in Afoot in Vienna and Fire and Air. BMD’s performance includes a multi-media project and a dramatic re-imagining of Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra” with a rare performance by Lucy Bowen McCauley, directed by The Shakespeare Theatre’s Alan Paul. Additionally, BMD shares the work of a talented young choreographer, Junichi Fukuda. See a short clip of Junichi’s piece, Segments.

After the show, join BMD at Smith Commons (one block from theater). Ticket holders will receive 10% off their bill. Restaurant located at 1245 H Street, NE, Washington, DC .

Presented as part of INTERSECTIONS at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, Feb 21 – Mar 8, 2014
