“This whole season is about love. Ovid’s Ars Amatoria fits the bill. The challenge of capturing the story through dance has been terrifying and delightful, all in one. This is a real departure for me choreographically.”
–  Lucy Bowen McCauley
Live music, and dance will fill the stage for Bowen McCauley Dance’s 20th anniversary concert. The program features a breathtaking solo danced to the music of Juilliard professor and composer Michael White; a moving exploration of human connections performed by violinist Leonid Sushansky to a work by J.S. Bach; and the highly anticipated world premiere of Ars Amatoria, a playful interpretation of ancient roman poet Ovid’s instructional writings about the arts of seduction and love, featuring a commissioned score by Larry Alan Smith.
On March 19, join us at The Kennedy Center Roof Terrace Restaurant for a Platinum Soirée post-performance anniversary celebration with the cast, complete with a two-decades anniversary toast, scrumptious bites, and silent auction.
BMD reserves the best seats for its members and supporters. Individual Soirée reservations start at $150 and include preferred performance seating. Make your reservation for Twenty Years with Love
