Bowen McCauley Dance Company will discuss and perform  Thermal Pearl Ascending, which is a raw, semi-abstract work exploring the dissonance, contemplation, and ultimate reconciliation of man’s relationship with his environment. The piece was commissioned by Virginia Tech’s Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability as part of their first annual Climate Exploratorium: bringing together science and the arts to interactively engage stakeholders in a civil discourse on pressing challenges related to climate change in urban environments.

TEDxHerndon is an independently organized TED event based in Herndon, Virginia. The speakers are innovators, leaders, and social changemakers with great ideas worth spreading. The event will be held Saturday May 21st, 2016 at Herndon Middle School from 9am to 5pm. Doors open at 8:30am. Parking is available behind the school.
