Free Summer Concert at Lubber Run

On June 24 at 8:00 p.m., join Bowen McCauley Dance for our FREE family-friendly evening performance in Arlington County. Bring a picnic and enjoy a summer evening while BMD entertains you with a very special 20th anniversary concert.

Featuring excerpts from Carnival of the Animals with music by Saint-Saens, poetry by Ogden Nash, and narrated by Noel Coward, Artistic Director Lucy Bowen McCauley transforms these humorous poems into a performance of animated characters and inventive choreography. Also on the program is ah love, a stunning suite of contemporary and classical ballet set to Johannes Brahms; Thermal Pearl Ascending, a compelling new work that explores man’s relationship with his environment; and Dancing through the Decades, a bopping, twirling ride through the past 50 years of music with familiar tunes and dance moves.
