BMD in 2013

We are excited about the New Year and look forward to the many performances and programs we have planned. This weekend we head off to the Association of Performing Arts Presenter’s Annual Conference where we will showcase our work for presenters from throughout the country and abroad.

The following weekend we tour Virginia’s Eastern Shore, including Old Dominion University and Onley’s Winterfest.

The month concludes with a special performance for the General Assembly session at Virginia Commission for the Arts Art Works Conference. We are thrilled to be performing immediately before Kathy Mattea!

We are excited about two upcoming local shows: Lucy’s Local Playlist, part of Atlas Performing Arts Center’s Intersections Festival on March 1 and our Annual Gala Performance at The Kennedy Center on April 5 and 6.

In the community, 2013 kicks off with programs at Langley School, Glebe Elementary, Kenmore Middle, Georgetown Visitation, Carlin Springs, Marshall Road, Brightwood Education Campus, and Nottingham Elementary. Our Dance for PD program has expanded to six weekly classes, including a new class in Winchester, VA.

Lucy is also honored to begin her role as an Arlington Chamber of Commerce Board member, in addition to her responsibilities on the Arlington Economic Development Commission and Leadership Arlington Class Ambassador. It’s shaping up to be a busy but rewarding year – Lucky ’13!
