Arlington’s Award-Winning Dance Company Goes to Wintergeen
BMD educates and entertains communities near and far through contemporary dance. For the third year, BMD will be in residence at the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival to perform and offer master classes to people of all ages and ability. Located just 3 hours from Washington, DC in the Blue Ridge Moutains, Wintergreen’s outdoor venue offers breathtaking views and provides audience members with an enjoyable performance experience. We are honored to work with Larry Alan Smith, Artistic & Executive Director for Wintergeen and BMD’s Music Director, during this residency. Live music will be a highlight, with guest artistis Fabio and Giselle Witkowski and Half Brother joining us.
This year’s residency includes multiple performances, featuring the critically acclaimed Le Sacre du Printemps and audience favorite Lucy’s Local Playlist.

Thrilling Thursday II – August 2 at 7:30 pm (EC) ♫ If you loved BMD’s WSMF performance in 2011, you must attend this performance. Lucy’s Playlist has a sequel . . . Lucy’s Local Playlist, choreography inspired by the music of 10 Greater Washington, DC bands and artists. This new work had its premiere at Synetic Theater at Crystal City, Virginia, in May 2012. The first half of the program will include three company favorites . . . Beethoven Bits, Sweet Home Chicago, and A Smile to Hide the Pain.
