Dance for PD® Parkinson's Disease

BMDC provides free, weekly Dance for PD classes.

In 2001, the Mark Morris Dance Group of New York City partnered with the Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group to create the Dance for PD® program.

In 2009, BMDC teamed up with Mark Morris Dance Group to bring the Dance for Parkinson’s Disease program to the region to provide the free, weekly program to those suffering with this debilitating disease and their care partners.

Classes focus on seated stretch, rhythmic and imaginative combinations of movement with a certified instructor. No previous dance experience or pre-registration is required.
