Dance for PD®

BMDC provides free, weekly Dance for PD classes.

In 2008, BMDC worked with the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) to bring its Dance for PD® program to the Mid-Atlantic region. BMDC is a licensed affiliate authorized to offer Dance for PD®-branded classes based on the MMDG’s research-backed program. Licensed affiliates maintain the highest standards of teaching, program delivery and administrative support to ensure that classes they offer are safe, beneficial and enjoyable.  As a MMDG licensed affiliate, BMDC is also accredited as a Dance for PD® Certified Teaching Artists organization. Certified Teaching Artists, complete advance training, a peer reviewed assessment process, and comprehensive fieldwork.

We are providing a weekly live video streamed class for people with Parkinson’s and their care partners from the safety of their homes. The class is free and available via Zoom. To participate you will need to download the Zoom App to a device that has a camera. The class is scheduled on Tuesdays from 2:30 – 3:30 PM. To register or for more information, please email us at
