More About Move Me:
Anticipating nearly 1,000 attendees, Move Me is a FREE family-friendly celebration of the arts and culture, promoting healthy lifestyles through movement and the arts; and featuring performances and artistic activities by local arts partners. Stay tuned for our 2015 Sponsor and Honorary Host Announcement!
The festival culminates with a performance by Arlington’s own Bowen McCauley Dance and special performances by BMD’s Kenmore Junior Company and the participants in BMD’s Dance for PD program.
BMD is proud to partner with a variety of arts organizations from the Metro DC area to provide an afternoon of exciting performances and activities.Participating arts partners offer performances, demonstrations, and activities for children and adults alike.
This year, the Festival features an “Evolution of the Arts” theme, introducing participants to the histories of the various arts forms and genres presented throughout the afternoon. Attendees will experience live performances and interactive activities in dance, music, theater, and arts and crafts that were perfect for the whole family!
Want to get involved? We are looking for volunteers for the day of the event to help setup and run the festival. Look for more information on volunteering for the Festival in January 2015.
