BMD would like to thank our many wonderful Arts Partners, sponsors and supporters, honorary hosts and partners, volunteers, planning committee, and  festival guest who helped to make the 5th Annual Move Me a success.

We reached over 800 members of community offering more than 20 FREE performances and activities in a variety of art forms. Thank you for your support and participation.

A day of wellness, fitness, and fun for all ages!

Anticipating nearly 1,000 attendees, Move Me is a FREE family-friendly celebration of the arts and culture, promoting healthy lifestyles through movement and the arts; and featuring performances and artistic activities by local arts partners with the support of The JBG Companies and honorary hosts Senator Barbara Favola and Delegate Patrick Hope.

The festival culminates with a performance by Arlington’s own Bowen McCauley Dance and special performances by BMD’s Kenmore Junior Company and the students in BMD’s Dance for PD program.

BMD is proud to partner with a variety of arts organizations from the Metro DC area to provide an afternoon of exciting performances and activities.Participating arts partners will offer performances, demonstrations, and activities for children and adults alike.

Travel with BMD “around the world” and experience live performances and interactive activities in dance, music, theater, and arts and crafts that are perfect for the whole family!

Experience the fun and excitement of Latin and South America, the exhilarating rhythms of Flamenco and Middle Eastern dances, the magnificent traditions and original art forms of Europe, North America, and the Pacific Islands; and the mysteries of South Asia.

Don’t forget about the food!  The Fava Pot Truck will be at Kenmore all afternoon to celebrate Move Me with us!
