African Storytelling with Anna Mwalagho
Anna is an actress, dancer, storyteller, poet and singer delights young and old alike with the ancient wisdom and fun of African Folktales. Engaging songs and poetry accompany the plots and add color and spice to the merriment.

Arlington Arts Center
The Arlington Arts Center (AAC) is a private, nonprofit contemporary visual arts center dedicated to presenting and supporting new work by regional artists in the mid-Atlantic States. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and subsidized studio spaces, the AAC serves as a bridge between artists and the public. The goal is to increase awareness and appreciation of, and involvement in, the visual arts in Arlington County VA and the region.

Arts on the Horizon
Arts on the Horizon was founded as a non-profit theatre company with a specific focus of providing performances and education programs for young people ages 0 to 6 years old.

Our performances are designed to take place in an intimate setting where children not only feel comfortable to learn and explore, but are also able to be an integral part of the performance. We have the utmost respect for children and want, what may be their first theatrical performance, to entertain them, challenge them, spark creativity and enhance the imaginative play in which many children this age engage.

BalletNova Center for Dance
Offering classes and workshops to over 850 children and adult students in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and conditioning. For the serious youth dancer we have a pre-professional Training Program based on the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum.

Bobby’s Boot Camp
Led by BMD founding dancer and personal trainer, Robert Sidney, the program teaches how to work out while having fun.

Levine School of Music: District Strings and Suzuki Flutes
The District Strings from the Levine School of music, conducted by Susan Fuller, is an
ensemble of approximately 15 student musicians, ranging in age from 6-12, who have been studying violin for as few as 2 and as many as 8 years.  They have learned to play their instruments through ‘total immersion’ instruction of the Suzuki method.  Offering Suzuki instruction in violin, viola, cello, and double bass, Levine’s Suzuki Strings program has over 150 students of all ages.

The Suzuki Flute Department at Levine School of Music has over 40 students, ages 4-18.  Students perform regularly for high profile events – annually as part of the Festival of Lights (at the Visitor’s Center of the Church of Latter Day Saints), Gala appearances for DC Appleseed Foundation, and twice at the White House for the First Lady, Michelle Obama. Select students have also demonstrated the Suzuki Method at past National Flute Association conferences. www.levineschool.org  

Encore Stage and Studio: The Actor as Storyteller
(Ages 9 and up)
Please join Encore Stage & Studio for this fun session of movement, music, improvisation while working with people, places, and things!  Students will explore good storytelling while using circumstances and objectives effectively.  Eg.  ”If I met Michael Jackson at a party what might I say to him?  What might he say to me?”

Fairfax Choral Society
The Fairfax Choral Society (FCS) will offer a family singing games workshop!  This workshop will highlight many fun-filled music games that are used in FCS musicianship classes to teach basic music theory concepts.  The games will be geared towards all ages, including parents, siblings and friends!  Come one, come all! The workshop will be led by Michelle McCarten, Conductor and Musicianship Instructor.
